Wrong again Julio, They never had any sort of deal with Adidas, a "fixer" supplied the band with Adidas trainers, not just NO but other Manc bands too. Obviously to promote the Adidas brand. Apologies for necromancy, but I've always wondered why a band would agree to such a deal if a substantial sum weren't involved. Let's face it, most if not all bands involved were reasonably wealthy, NO especially, so Adidas and earlier Levi's wouldn't be outside their price range, and there's only as many trainers one can wear at a given time. Barney especially did look as if he wore a uniform on more than one occasion (Australia 2002 photo shoot, Corrie BL gig to name just two). |
